We all know the story of Daniel and the lion's den - How Daniel was thrown into a den full of lions as punishment for breaking the laws of the Medes and Persians. But because of Daniel's faith in God, even when it seemed all the odds were against him, he was removed from the lion's den the next morning with not even a scratch on his body. King Darius, the ruler of the land, then declared Daniel's God (who is OUR God) to be worshiped and everyone should live in fear and reverence of him. So the name of Daniel's God was spread throughout the many nations and his name was praised.
We have heard this story so many times that we forget how great this story really is. This story wasn't just about how a guy was thrown into a lion's den and was somehow not eaten; it teaches us to stay strong in our walk with Christ and to not let anything stop us from worshiping our Lord and Savior and giving him all the praise and glory he deserves. So I encourage you this week to be a shining light for all to see, and to give all glory to God and to not let anything refrain you from doing this.
Here's a verse for encouragement: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live."
